Renegade
Description: This scroll contains the style of a skilled backstreet fighter.
Price: Free/6000 Carats
Class: All
Opinion: A free scroll you get upon reaching level 2. In all essence, it can be called an upgrade of Default, and that means it's still pretty damn bad. It can do some decent damage, though, so be warned! Renegade is bad, but not useless.
DIFFICULTY TO USE: VERY HARD
DIFFICULTY TO MASTER: VERY HARD-
POTENTIAL: VERY LOW
Combos:
PPPP - 404
PPPK - 404
KK - 306
Rude Smash:
PPPP
74, 84, 84, 162 [404]
Renegade's bread-and-butter combo. No delays except for the final attack. 400 damage is nothing to laugh at, as that number can easily rack up in the hands of a skilled player. Be careful of the range when using this combo; the first three punches have terrible frontal range, meaning you must be terribly close in order to land the entire combo. They are also extremely slow, so be warned. It's much easier to pressure with than Default due to the higher hit count, which is a plus. Always use this over the kicks when attacking from the back.
Rude Knee:
PPPK
74, 84, 84, 162 [404]
This attack is exactly the same as the above except for a different combo finisher. The attack looks different, but it does the same damage. However, the hitboxes are slightly different: Rude Knee has a teeny bit more peripheral range than Rude Crush. However, this range is negligible and there really is no difference to the two attacks. Both attacks knock the opponent away a considerable distance, which gives Renegade edging potential Default never had.
Kick-Kick!
KK
135, 171 [306]
Renegade's kicks look exactly the same as its Default counterpart, but with a major difference; the second kick cannot be blocked. As such, this combo actually has a use now, as it provides an unavoidable 300+ damage attack if the first kick hits. That being said, the kicks themselves are horribly slow and hard to land, so they cannot be spammed in any way. Use it when you know your opponent cannot avoid the first kick.
STRATEGY:
Renegade is a step up from Default, but whether it is actually BETTER is up for debate. Default is generally faster, but in my own opinion, Renegade takes the prize because of its superior damage and fully connectable kick combo. The strategy you would use with Renegade is about the same you would use with Default; pepper your opponent with weak attacks, dash, jump-attack, and grab when necessary. However, also finish your combos if you can, because that can add an extra 100+ damage if you do. Throw some kicks in to spice it up a little, too.
